There is a general consensus amongst lovers of film about what the truly greatest films are. We can argue about the exact positions but some films seem to appeal to everyone. While there is always the odd dissenting voice there are definitely cinematic triumphs which can be described as universally loved.
Watchmen is a superb film which really manages to capture the mood of the original graphic novel. Director Zack Snyder along with a talented cast managed to bring it to life in a respectfully faithful way and it is a hugely enjoyable cinematic treat. This dark take on the superhero genre has a brilliant story line and some truly memorable characters.
