Séance is an older movie, not anything recent, yet from time to time I do watch movies and shows on hulu to help me wind down from writing. I was in the mood for a horror/suspense movie on this particular night and Séance was something that put me straight to sleep.
When the movie first begins I did not know whether the girl was dreaming or awake so it kind of held my attention there. However, when it was only five people left in the building plus the security things started to go downhill from there.
First, when I saw that the security had a peeping hole in the common shower area I found that to be kind of disgusting. But, when they played that clever trick on him that was a little bit of amusement for the movie. As the story started to unfold things went back to being boring and I fell asleep about 20- 30 minutes into the movie. I picked back up the next day and was immediately put back to sleep. After the second day of trying to complete the movie I was finally able to finish it on the third day and I must say that the end was very disappointing.
Overall, I would not recommend this movie to anyone unless you are trying to catch some sleep. To me it seems like the horror movies these days are nothing like they used to be.
